ASB Designer DebitCard FAQ

Below are a few questions you might have regarding using the new Designer DebitCard system.

How do I order my new ASB Designer Debit Card?
It's very easy. Click "ASB Designer DebitCard" and follow the step by step instructions.

What is the cost for the card?
$2.95 for each Designer card ordered. This fee is not applicable for the blue ASB Free card (as seen in the Image Gallery).

Are there limitations on images that can be uploaded?
Yes.  The "Terms of Use" (Disclosure), outlines these limitations.  Please note the center section of the Terms of Use which gives a description of photos/images that are unacceptable.

Can an image be copied or downloaded from the Internet to upload onto a card?
Care should be taken not to copy or download logos, emblems or trademarked images that are licensed. (Ex. Texas Tech Double T, Dallas Cowboys emblem or celebrity photos.) If the image you choose is questionable, an ASB Representative will contact you.

Does the image being uploaded have to be in a certain format?
Yes.  These should be JPEG files. 

Is there a limit on the size of the JPEG file?
The jpeg image must be under 3MB in size. If you attempt to upload an image that is larger than 3MB, the system will display the following text: File must be under 3MB in size.

How long does the system save my uploaded images?
As images are being uploaded, a personal "Custom Gallery" is created. This gallery is available only during that particular website session. Once the browser is closed, the Custom Gallery clears.

Will I receive my PIN in the mail?
ASB no longer mails out PINs. Instructions for activating and creating a PIN are provided on the letter accompanying your new card. You may activate the card and create your PIN by calling 1-866-985-2273, from your daytime phone. Or you may contact ASB's Call Center at 1-800-531-1401 to activate the card and create a PIN.

Will my new card have the same card number and PIN?
Each time a Designer Debit Card is ordered, it will be given a new card number. Therefore, it will be necessary to not only activate the card, but also create a PIN. If you would like to keep the same card number, please contact an ASB Representative.
