American State Bank believes that all sensitive or private information (such as social security numbers, bank account numbers, financial statements, etc.) should never be sent in an unsecure fashion. SecureMail is offered through our partnership with Zix Corporation and provides the best way to correspond with us about your personal finances and banking interests.
When corresponding with ASB through SecureMail, you will initially be prompted to create your SecureMail account. Simply supply your email address and a password. This information will then be used each time you log into ASB’s SecureMail. Upon establishing your account, you will receive a confirmation message at the email address you provided. Click the link provided in the confirmation email to complete the account set-up process. You can now begin using your ASB SecureMail account.
When sending or receiving an ASB SecureMail, the message is sent to a secure data center where it will be held for retrieval. At the same time, a notification message will be sent via standard email, informing the arrival of a SecureMail. This standard notification message will contain a link to our SecureMail web site. Simply click on the link, log into ASB’s SecureMail site, and retrieve your message.
