Responsibilities:

Position Purpose

Responsible for providing a pickup and delivery service for all ASB locations, servicing and balancing ASB ATMs, preparing and processing outgoing customer statements and notices, and processing all outgoing mail. Position also includes transporting bank operation items from Ave Q location to the Operations Center and any other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  1. Assumes responsibility for the efficient pickup and delivery of items for all ASB locations
    • Picks up any items (proof documents, interoffice mail, supplies, etc.) and delivers them on time to his daily assigned destination.
    • Upon arrival at his destination, properly delivers the items to their appropriate location.
  2. Assumes responsibility for the 1st line servicing and balancing of ASB ATMs.
    • Retrieves customer deposits and delivers them to the appropriate tellers for processing.
    • Changes receipt and audit paper.
    • Retrieves ATM captured cards and delivers them to the ATM office.
    • Rectifies any minor ATM problems when necessary.
    • Changes out security tapes at ATM sites.
    • Card checks ATMs to insure proper functioning.
    • Weekly balances all of Lubbock and Littlefield ASB ATMs
    • Evaluates lighting, signage, maintenance issues at ATMs and turns into ATM manager.
  3. Assumes responsibility for preparing and processing of outgoing customer statements, notices, and mail.
    • Operates Statement Inserting Machine to fold, stuff, and seal outgoing statements and notices.
    • Operates Postage Machine to apply proper postage to outgoing statements, notices, and mail.
    • Manually folds and stuffs statements and notices as necessary.
  4. Assumes responsibility for the delivery of bank operation items from Ave Q to Operations Center.
    • Picks up all items from appropriate locations at Ave Q and delivers to Operations Center.
    • Picks up all items from appropriate bin at Operations Center and delivers to Ave Q.

Performance Measurements

  1. Performs 1st Line ATM servicing and balancing correctly and efficiently.
  2. Picks up and delivers items to ASB locations correctly and efficiently.
  3. Processes statements, notices, and mail correctly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid Driver’s License. Driving record must be very good.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of ASB’s branch and ATM locations. General banking knowledge preferred.
Experience Required:
Previous experience helpful but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent driving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented-close attention to detail.

Use of upper body and back muscles to lift objects.
Finger Dexterity
Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.

Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Average Hearing
Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Repetitive Motion
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities
Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
Physical Strength
Medium work; exerts up to 30 lbs occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.

Working Conditions

Frequent local and non-local travel.

Mental Activities and Requirements of this Position

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
Mathematics Ability:
Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers; to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound (or their metric counterparts).
Language Ability:
Limited reading skills.
Able to read at a very slow rate.
Ability to communicate in simple sentences.
