Financial Advisor

- Responsibilities:
Position Purpose
Primary responsibility will be Financial Sales of Non-Deposit Investment related products and customer service activities.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
- Non-Deposit Sales Related Activities
- Non-Deposit Investment products through third party broker/dealer to clients and prospects.
- Follow up on all sales referrals generated from ASB employees in a timely manner.
- Holds Series 7 and 63 or 66 Securities Licenses and Texas life and Health Insurance certification. Clean U-4 NASD record of service: must be willing to take and pass a credit check and criminal background check (fingerprints are required.)
- Maintain all continuing education (CE) credits required for Series 7 and 66 NASD Securities Licenses as well as Texas Life and Health License.
- Interpersonal Communications and Team approach.
- Open communications with Broker Dealer Program Manager and OSJ and all other ASB staff.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and any other significant problems.
- Proactive clients and prospect communications.
- Management Reporting and Other Duties
- Month end scorecard update and related reports are required.
- Goal tracking of Investment sales and closed referrals is critical to success.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Good organization skills; ability to prioritize
- Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy required in all tasks.
- Able to work well with multiple employees.
- High level of confidentiality required; highest of ethical standards.
- Able to prioritize and perform several tasks at one time.
- Excellent oral and communication skills
Performance Measurements
- Sales Activities are performed with a high degree of success and must cover annual base salary with Investment sales commissions generated to justify position and will be reviewed accordingly by Program Manager.
- Advanced organizational skills are key to success and Commission production.
- Good working relations exist with area staff. Assistance is provided as needed. Effective coordination and cooperation exists.
- Management is appropriately informed of area activities.

- Qualifications:
- Education/Certification:
- Four Year college degree from an accredited University is preferred
- Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of basic Investment Department structure information flow.
- Knowledge of Windows XP and other Office programs including Microsoft excel and word
- Able to master new computer programs and systems.
- Accurate typing skills-minimum 40 wpm
- Experience Required:
- General office experience helpful
- Skills/Abilities:
- Well organized.
- Customer service orientation.
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- Cooperative and willing to assist others.

Mental Activities and Requirements of this Position
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and to deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
- Mathematics Ability:
- Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers; the four basic arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard; ounce, and pound (or their metric counterparts).
- Language Ability:
- Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; read at a slow rate; and define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation.
- Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and using adjectives and adverbs.
- Ability to communicate in complex sentences, using normal word order with present and past tenses and good vocabulary
